Our story

A STORY OF FAMILY, PASSION, AND TRANSMISSION

It all started more than 50 years ago, with a story of family passion.

In 1975, and then in 1984, Dominique and Michel, parents of Alban Fabacher, opened their hair salons, driven by a deep love of the profession.

Far more than just hairdressers, they distinguished themselves early on by their interest in the scalp, which they considered the key to hair health and beauty. At a time when this approach remained marginal, they were already integrating scalp and hair follicle analysis into their salons, developing a pioneering vision of hair care based on listening, observation, and a holistic understanding of the hair.

Over the years, this expertise has been perfected and naturally passed on to their son Alban, who grew up in the heart of this world, nourished by a culture of care, high standards and respect for hair and scalp.

A FORWARD-LOOKING VISION

Building on this expertise, passed down and refined over the years in family salons, TOHI KEAL®'s vision could not be limited to the boundaries of traditional hairdressing. Alban Fabacher and Jordane Kehlhoffner wanted to challenge this conviction: that the scalp is at the heart of hair beauty.

Their travels, from Asia to the United States, acted as a catalyst.

They discovered approaches where the scalp is no longer considered as a simple support for the hair, but as a treatment area in its own right, integrated into a global vision of well-being.

In Asia, they were deeply influenced by head care rituals, where relaxation, precise movements, and deep scalp care are part of an ancestral tradition. In Korea, they observed an advanced dermo-cosmetic approach, where the scalp is treated as a natural extension of the facial skin, giving rise to the concept of scalp skinification, and where imbalances are addressed with the same vision as skincare.

In the United States, they were inspired by the spectacular and experiential dimensions of hair spas, which combined expertise, relaxation and high-end hospitality.

From these two worlds, the expertise inherited from the field and the international inspiration was born a certainty: it was time to create a place and a premium brand, capable of bringing together these complementary approaches.

TOHI KEAL® has thus become a concept in its own right, conceived as a new era in hair care, where family heritage meets innovation, and where the scalp is finally recognized as the essential basis of healthy, sustainable and sublime hair.
